STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

A.     THE FOLLOWING ARE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE PAID FOR SERVICES:

I.                 Departure & Return (“Round-Trip”) International Airfare

II.               Group Transportation between Airports, Piers, Hotels for both Arrivals & Departures (i.e. “Group Transfers”)

III.             Hotel Porterage of one article of luggage (i.e. one suitcase, rucksack, bag, purse, etc.)

IV.             Air-conditioned Shuttle/Motorcoach transportation

V.               Hotel Accommodations based upon Double Occupancy (Single Occupancy Rooms may be available for an additional charge.)

VI.             Daily Morning & Evening Meals (Breakfast & Dinner) provided unless explicitly stated otherwise per the Trip’s Itinerary

VII.           Admission/Ticketing for all Sites or Venues as described in the Trip’s Itinerary

VIII.         Services of an Outremer, L.L.C. representative (i.e. “Operator”) to be available at all-times at each destination

IX.             Services of officially licensed, English-speaking Tour Guides, Drivers, and Chauffeurs

 

B.     THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE PAID FOR SERVICES:

I.                 Optional Travel Insurance Protection Plans

II.               Checked Baggage &/or Excess Baggage Fees which may be imposed by Airlines at their discretion

III.             Individual Transportation between Airports, Piers, Hotels for both Arrivals & Departures (i.e. “Individual Transfers”)

IV.             Fees required for the obtaining of a valid United States Passport

V.               Individual products &/or services of a personal nature during the Trip, i.e. laundry, personal hygiene products, excess baggage fees, etc.

VI.             Meals, Snacks, & Beverages not included on the Trip’s Itinerary (i.e. Lunches, Liquor, Wine, Beer, etc.)

VII.           Tips &/or Gifts for Tour Guides, Operators, and local businesses patronised during the Trip

VIII.         Any Entry-Visa Fees if applicable

a.      Outremer, L.L.C. will make every reasonable effort to inform customers of fees/regulations dependent upon their destination country

IX.             Any Airline-Imposed Fees for specific Seat Assignment &/or Upgrade if desired by the traveler

 

C.      REGARDING AIRLINE TICKETS & FLIGHT TIMES:

I.                 Air Transportation shall be booked in the Jet Economy Class unless otherwise stated by the Trip’s Itinerary. Any upgrade or related costs shall be at the sole expense of the traveler. Self-booked flights may impair the traveler’s ability to utilize Group Transportation provided by Outremer, L.L.C. if arrival/departure times do not align; if so, travelers may be required to pay for their individual transportation (see “B-III.  Individual Transportation”).

 

D.     PAYMENTS & SCHEDULES:

I.                 Outremer, L.L.C. will protect the traveler’s reservation & will guarantee the traveler’s agreed price on the condition that the traveler’s deposit is successfully received & that the traveler adheres faithfully to the two below terms (D. PAYMENTS & SCHEDULES, II. & III.).

II.               A $500.00 deposit per-person is required with each completed Application. This deposit is transferable to any other Outremer, L.L.C. Trip on the condition that the customer notifies Outremer, L.L.C. via e-mail or physical writing no less than 90 days prior to the departure of the originally-booked trip.

III.             The invoice/balance of fees for a Trip is due 90 days prior to departure. Failure to pay a Traveler’s invoice in-full 80 days prior to departure shall incur a $150.00 late-fee per-traveler. If still left unpaid, the traveler’s itinerary is then subject to cancellation without refund.

IV.             All costs are calculated around the primary use of the United States Dollar (USD/$).

V.               Prices are finalized & guaranteed upon payment-in-full for goods/services. External factors outside of Outremer’s control may require price adjustments; be they increases or decreases whatsoever. Outremer, L.L.C. places itself under no obligation to provide itemized breakdowns of particular costs incurred.

 

E.     ACCOMODATIONS:

I.                 Trip Prices are based upon Double-Occupancy Rooms. Single Rooms can be requested & arranged per Traveler at additional cost. Outremer, L.L.C. will endeavour to pair roommates as they are requested but cannot guarantee matches in all circumstances.

a.      NOTA BENE: Single-Occupancy Rooms tend to be smaller than Double-Occupancy Rooms.

 

F.      TRIP PASSENGER MINIMUMS:

I.                 Prices are based upon a minimum of 10 passengers per group. Prices are subject to increase should a group fail to meet the minimum of 10 passengers for any reason.

 

G.     DEVIATIONS:

I.                 Deviations from the standard itinerary of each Trip must be submitted in writing or by e-mail & are subject to a $150.00 per-person assessment fee, plus any additional costs incurred by such deviations. Transfers for travelers who deviate are not included.

 

H.     CANCELLATION FEES & REFUNDS:

I.       A Cancellation-Fee of $500.00 shall be incurred upon cancellation from the day of Registration until the 91st day prior to planned departure. The deposit which a customer will have paid for their Trip may be transferred to another planned Outremer, L.L.C. Trip should the customer notify Outremer, L.L.C. via writing or e-mail no less than 90 days prior to departure of their original trip. (See “D-II. A $500.00 deposit”)

II.     A Cancellation-Fee of 50% of the total cost of the Traveler’s Itinerary shall be incurred upon cancellation from the 90th to the 46th day prior to the departure-date on their Trip’s itinerary.

III.   No Refunds shall be issued from the 45th to the final day prior to departure.

IV.   No Refunds shall be issued on or after the date of departure for any service not used.

V.     All Refund Claims must be received in writing or by e-mail.

VI.   Once any tickets are issued (Air, Sea, or Land), the value of those issued tickets is non-refundable.

VII. Any Refunds for payments made to Outremer, L.L.C. by Credit Card (VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, etc.) are subject to an additional 3.5% fee.

I.       PASSPORTS, VISAS, VISA WAIVERS, & ELECTRONIC TRAVEL AUTHORIZATIONS

I.       All Pilgrims using the services of Outremer, L.L.C. are required to possess a valid Passport which is valid at least 6 months after the return date of any enrolled travel itinerary. It is the sole responsibility of the Pilgrim/Traveler to obtain & produce when required their appropriate & valid travel documents. All customers are advised to consult with appropriate government authorities in each country which they plan to visit in order to determine necessary documents & entry/exit regulations.

II.     In certain cases, a Hotel, Vessel, Motor Coach, Train, or Airline may require the Pilgrim/Traveler to present/physically carry their valid Passport for the duration of their stay/trip at all times.

III.   Whensoever a VISA or VISA Waiver is required, it is the responsibility of the Pilgrim/Traveler to obtain one prior to departure.

IV.   Outremer, L.LC., its Owners, Agents, Employees, & Representatives cannot be held liable for the failure of Pilgrims/Travelers to obtain/possess any required Passport/VISA/VISA Waiver/Electronic Travel Authorization, etc.

V.     Cancellations/Terminations of a Pilgrim/Traveler’s Itinerary due to a lack of required documents will incur the previously stated “Cancellation-Fee”; (H. CANCELLATION FEES & REFUNDS, I.)

VI.   FOR THE UNITED KINDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN & NORTHERN IRELAND: Effective on the 8th of January, A.D. 2025, all U.S. Citizens who do not reside in Ireland, or those travelling to the U.K. (inclusive of Northern Ireland) for the purpose of Tourism, Family Visits, Business Meetings, Conferences, or Academic purposes (for six months or less) shall be required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) prior to travelling to the U.K. – U.S. Citizens are able to apply for ETAs as of the 27th of November, A.D. 2024. The application fee is £10.00 as of writing but is subject to change at any time by His Majesty’s Government. Upon approval, a U.K. ETA is valid for two years from the date of approval.

VII. FOR THE EUROPEAN UNION: Effective May, A.D. 2025, Non-EU Citizens (Including U.S. Citizens) will be required to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) via the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) in order to travel to any nation within the European Union. (The Vatican City State is not a member of the E.U., but de-facto will require U.S. Citizens to acquire an E.U. ETA due to travelling to/through Italy to reach the Vatican.) The application fee is €7.00 as of writing. Once approved, an EITAS ETA is valid for three years or until the traveler’s Passport expires, whichever occurs first. Each applicant is required to have a valid e-mail address in order to apply, and each Pilgrim/Traveler must complete the application process without the involvement of Outremer, L.L.C..

VIII.         FOR THE STATE OF ISRAEL: Effective on the 1st of August, A.D. 2024, all foreign travelers (including U.S. Citizens) are required to apply for & obtain an Israeli Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). As of writing, the Israeli ETA application has a fee of ₪‎25.00. Upon approval, the Israeli ETA is valid for two years. This ETA must be obtained without the involvement of Outremer, L.L.C.

J.      ITINERARY CHANGES

I.       Outremer, L.L.C. reserves the right to modify, rearrange, or otherwise alter the agreed itinerary of any traveler; e.g. hotel substitutions, accommodation alterations, airline, aircraft, & flight changes, etc.. Outremer, L.L.C. shall work within reason to honor its advertised itineraries, but such alterations may occur after any itinerary has been posted-online, printed, or presented otherwise. Such adjustments may arise for reasons including, but not limited to: traffic conditions, clerical error, strikes, holidays, weather conditions, wildfires, ice, mechanical or electronic malfunctions, medical emergencies, war, terrorism, or other Acts of God which are beyond the scope & control of Outremer, L.L.C..

K.     RESPONSIBILITY CLAUSES

I.       Outremer, L.L.C. acts as a Tour Operator & Travel Service. Those 3rd-Parties providing air &/or ground transportation, sightseeing tours/arrangements, restaurants, & hotel accommodations are not, nor shall they claim to be, employees of Outremer, L.L.C..

II.     By employing the services of Outremer, L.L.C., the Pilgrim/Traveler agrees that Outremer, L.L.C., its owners, agents, employees, officers, etc. will not be held liable whatsoever for any change in travel/itinerary schedules, strikes, delays, government acts, fires, riots, theft, pilferage, epidemics, quarantine, medical &/or customs regulations, accidents, loss, injury, or damages to the Pilgrim/Traveler & those travelling with the Pilgrim/Traveler in connection with any accommodations, transportation, or any other service or resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrence or conditions beyond its control; including defends in vehicles, mechanical &/or electrical malfunctions, thefts, delay or cancellation of, or changes in itinerary for any act, omission, or event during the time the Pilgrim/Traveler is on-tour, or on board a flight departing/arriving.

III.   Neither Outremer, L.L.C. & its agents, nor suppliers concerned are to be held liable for the late-arrival or departure of passengers at airports or hotels due to inclement weather or other reasons whatsoever; nor shall they be held liable for payment or any refund for transfers or unused services, hotel accommodation, or meals occasioned by such late arrivals at hotels holding rooms as confirmed itineraries. All Pilgrims/Travelers agree to bear such losses or expenses should they occur.

IV.   Outremer, L.L.C. is not responsible for circumstances beyond its control. In those circumstances wherein trip cancellations resulting from the inability for a trip to commence or operate as scheduled; i.e. cancellations following acts of war, terrorism, force majeure, of God, civil unrest, illness, disease, criminal acts, natural disasters, etc.; Outremer, L.L.C, its owners, employees, & agents are not liable for any restitution, & without limitation are not responsible for any injury, financial loss, physical loss, death, inconvenience, trauma, or damages with connection to any inclusions or other provisions of any goods or services included.

V.     Travel includes inherent risks; itineraries may bring Pilgrims/Travelers far from the effective range of medical facilities. Outremer, L.L.C. clients are to assume all associated risks & complete responsibility; this includes any illness, injury, or even death by their participation. Any Pilgrim/Traveler agrees to indemnify & hold Outremer, L.L.C. harmless, with respect to any claim made to Outremer, L.L.C. by anyone else related to your participation.

L.      WAIVER OF LIABILITY & HOLD HARMLESS CLAUSE

I.       By accepting the terms and conditions, I (the Pilgrim/Traveler; the signee) agree and acknowledge that I may be giving up important legal rights and remedies available to myself, my family, my heirs, successors, and assigns. For value received, I agree on behalf of myself, my heirs, successors, and assigns (“Our Behalf”) that I assume all risks and waive any claim of liability of any nature whatsoever against, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless, Outremer, L.L.C. et al. with respect to any and all actions, claims or demands that may be made or brought on Our Behalf against Outremer, L.L.C. et al. arising out of, or in connection with, travel to, or attendance at the tour or any other activity I may engage in while participating in the tour/event. Further, for value received, for any injury to third parties that may arise because of my own actions or omissions, I agree to indemnify, hold harmless and defend Outremer, L.L.C. et al. with respect to any and all actions, claims, expenses or demands arising therefrom that may be made or brought against Outremer, L.L.C. et al., including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys’ fees and expenses arising in connection therewith.

II.     I understand that voluntarily traveling to, and attending, a tour/pilgrimage at this time may involve certain risks beyond the control of Outremer, L.L.C., its officers, directors, volunteers, and agents, in connection with the tour - and all parishes within it, and their respective officers, directors, volunteers and agents, and chaperons or representatives associated with the tour (hereinafter referred to as Diocese et al). Such risks include, but are not limited to, accidents, emergencies, epidemics/pandemics, exposure to reckless conduct of other persons, and/or negligence of security and medical personnel. Outremer, L.L.C. et al. hereby disclaims any and all liability and responsibility for any such risks. I understand that I will be at various sites, such as hotels, restaurants, tourist sites, or on tourist excursions. If during any break in the tour there may be an opportunity to participate in recreational or other activities, participants do so at their own risk and subject to all terms and conditions set by any recreational or other provider.

M.     CHOICE OF LAW

I.       This agreement shall be governed by & interpreted pursuant to the laws of the State of Louisiana by mutual agreement of the parties hereto & the Federal & State Courts in Louisiana shall have exclusive & sole jurisdiction over any dispute, controversy, or suit arising relative to this agreement.

N.     DISPUTES & CLASS-ACTION WAIVER

I.       By accepting these terms & conditions, the Pilgrim/Traveler agrees that they will only bring claims against Outremer, L.L.C. in their individual capacity & not as a plaintiff or class-member in any purported class-action or representative proceeding whatsoever.

O.     ERRORS & OMISSIONS

I.       While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of information on our website or communicated by our staff, errors or omissions are possible and Outremer, L.L.C. is not responsible for such error. If a mistake is made in billing, we reserve the right to correct the invoice and the Pilgrim/Traveler will be responsible for proper payment.

II.     Outremer, L.L.C. is not responsible for typographical or print errors, including errors in trip cost. We reserve the right to re-invoice or correct billing at any time.
